Barclaycard launches new account service website 28 August 2009

A new web-based account service has been launched by Barclaycard.

The re-designed credit card website mybarclaycard was developed after garnering feedback from 20,000 users, according to the company.

Features on the new customer-driven website include a revised, secure log-in process and spending categories - for customers to monitor financial habits, and a more detailed account of transactions.

Chief executive of Barclaycard Amer Sajed said: "mybarclaycard is set to be the UK''s leading online account servicing website. It will make our customers'' lives a little easier by providing them with the control to track and manage their spending with Barclaycard.

"I''m delighted by the feedback we''ve already received from the thousands of customers who have helped us develop this new site and I''m convinced that all our customers will find the new website helpful and useful."

Secured online loans are often a cheaper way to borrow money than credit cards for customers who are looking to make a large purchase or go on holiday.
